Barry B. Swadron, K.C. (1938-2023)
Barry was the founder and principal of Swadron Associates. His academic training was received at the University of Toronto, Osgoode Hall Law School and the University of Pennsylvania. He was called to the Bars of both Ontario and Prince Edward Island and was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1974.
Marshall A. Swadron
Marshall has served as counsel in all levels of Ontario courts, the Federal Court and in the Supreme Court of Canada. His areas of practice include mental health and capacity law, guardianship and estate litigation, professional regulation, constitutional law and abuse of state power.
Sarah M. Latimer
Sarah attended Queen's University in Kingston Ontario, graduating with distinction with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2007. She earned her law degree, a Bachelor of Arts in Law, at the University of Cambridge, Lucy Cavendish College, in Cambridge, UK in 2010.
Joanna Weiss
Joanna attended McMaster University in Hamilton, graduating with distinction with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy in 2007. She then enrolled in the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in Halifax, where she obtained her Juris Doctor degree with a Health Law and Policy Specialization designation.
Lisa Leinveer
Lisa holds a Master of Arts in Women's Studies and Feminist Research from the University of Western Ontario and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Queen's University, where she was a member of the Dean's Honour Roll. She obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Osgoode Hall Law School.
Jen Danch
Jen’s interest in social justice law emerged from her work as a community-based social worker. Jen worked for 10+ years in Toronto’s at-risk neighbourhoods focusing on crisis intervention, harm reduction and advocacy with survivors of violence, homelessness and addiction.
Matías Contreras León
Prior to attending law school, Matias completed an undergraduate degree at Smith College in Massachusetts and worked for a number of years as a tenant advocate and supportive housing manager in San Francisco and Vancouver.
