Firm extends best wishes to Nima Hojjati
June 1, 2022: Toronto. Swadron Associates wishes its associate Nima Hojjati every success on his new position, which will be announced shortly. Nima has been a lawyer with Swadron Associates since his call to the bar in 2018.
After obtaining an honours B.A. in Political Theory and Mandarin from McGill University, Nima attended law school at Queen’s University. At Queen’s Law, Nima was the President of the Law Students’ Society (Queen’s Law’s student government), the President of Queen’s OUTLaw, and worked as a caseworker with Queen’s Legal Aid. He was also the Law Students’ Society of Ontario’s Equity Officer, its inaugural Licensing Representative, and the Vice-Chair of the Canadian Bar Association’s Law Students Section. At graduation, he received the Gavel Award for his contributions to student affairs throughout his time at law school and the course prize in Negotiations.
Nima worked as a summer law student at Ernst & Young LLP before articling at Bogoroch & Associates LLP, a plaintiff-side medical malpractice and personal injury litigation firm where he gained considerable experience in civil litigation and health law.
In 2016, Nima joined the Law Society of Ontario’s Equity Advisory Group (EAG) which is tasked with assisting in the development of policy options for the promotion of equity and diversity in the legal profession. Since 2018, he has been the Chair of EAG.
Nima is fluent in both Farsi and French.
