Accessibility Policy
Swadron Associates is committed to providing legal services in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 and the Human Rights Code as it applies to persons with disabilities.
Service to the Public
Swadron Associates welcomes opportunities to meet the accessibility and communication needs of people with disabilities. We will arrange for telephone, videoconferencing and off-site meetings with clients who are unable to attend at our offices. In all cases, we will seek to ensure that confidentiality and dignity are respected. Also, when asked, we will provide information in accessible formats or with communication support. We will also consult with people with disabilities to determine their communication needs.
Employment
Swadron Associates welcomes opportunities to meet the needs of employees and potential employees with disabilities. When requested, we will accommodate disabilities during recruitment processes, when people are hired and during their careers.
All of our policies should be read in a manner that conforms with this policy and promotes the dignity and independence of people with disabilities.
Land Acknowledgement
In the spirit of truth and reconciliation, Swadron Associates acknowledges that the land on which we live and work is the traditional and unceded territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. We celebrate the enduring and vibrant presence of many First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples on this land. Swadron Associates is committed to learn and do our part to implement the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action.
